Venturing to the "Dark Continent" to Meet Kate's Family
In a whirl-wind, 10-day tour (two of which were spent on an
airplane to and fro) we buzzed through South Africa where Brent
met much of Kate's extended family. We did however, manage
to find a bit of time for a few neat outings.
We fed Harry and Sally at the Plettenberg Bay Elephant
Reserve, took the gondola up Table Mountain, went on a short
safari, were accosted by monkeys and held both an owl and
falcon at "Monkeyland," went whale watching - or at least whale
searching - took a ride down a river that looks like Coca Cola
and even swung between trees, hundreds of feet above the
ground, in an ancient and protected yellow-wood forest.
Needless to say, it was an amazing trip!
