Exploring Downtown Anchorage

We walked all over downtown Anchorage enjoying the cooler
weather (78 degrees) and all the beautiful flowers. On the 4th
of July we had fun watching a community parade downtown
and then had to stay up until 1 a.m. (darkest part of the day) in
order to barely see fireworks in the distance from our hotel
room.

The sun actually dips below the horizon, but not very far or
for very long.
Fireworks On July 5th
It's almost 1 a.m. in this picture and this is
the darkest park of the day. Look close and
you can see fireworks between the tallest
building andthe one next to it.
