They Really Know How To Show Friends A Good Time!
The weekend after Memorial Day we ventured north to visit our
friends Stephanie and Randy Pierce .
While Randy and Brent went on a mountain bike ride, Kate and
Steph headed to the pool at the Ritz Carlton at Bachelor Gulch
and after actually swimming several laps, spent some good
girl time getting caught up.
Later that afternoon, we went on a hike up the slopes and over
to the little town and caught a shuttle back to the condo. In the
evening we cheered the Mavericks on to victory against the
Phoenix suns and feasted at Juniper, a very quaint and
wonderful little restaurant close by. It was a great trip!
Dinner At Juniper
The food was fantastic, we were only sorry that we hadn't
left any room for dessert!
On The Trail
Brent found a post on this little bridge that allowed us to
take a "together" shot while we were out by ourselves
hiking around the area.
Always Climbing
Who would want to keep such a good man
down, I ask you.
How's The Weather Up There?
Kate gets a great view of the road below while Brent
admires the stone work and wood work that create this
bridge.
Wildlife All Around Us
What an amazing treat to be walking and see
a full grown dear "float" through a thicket.
F O X
Along our hike we ran into a fox family. There were several
little ones in this thicket. You can see this one in the field.
It Was All Beautiful
We had perfect weather for our hike as the
day was cooling down through much of it.
Town Of Beaver Creek
The hike we did was on a trail called "Village to Village,"
and ended in the heart of Beaver Creek.
Bachelor Gulch
We actually stayed just beyond Beaver Creek in an area
known as Bachelor Gulch.
The Ritz In The Mountains
Our wonderful friends hosted us at this gorgeous place..
We Made It!
After wandering around and losing our trail here and there,
we finally got to the town - it was a great hike!
