Branson, Missouri
Memorial day found us traveling to the "Show Me" state of
Missouri and venturing through the Ozarks.
Though we did A LOT of driving and covered a lot of ground, it
was well worth the effort.
The Ozarks are as beautiful as everyone says they are and
more - and the little towns that run through them are quaint and
inviting.
There were several high lights, including driving through a town
where Brent spent many summers as a child visiting
grandparents.
Silver Dollar City
Besides live entertainment, Branson boasts this interesting
amusement park that had fantastic roller coasters!
Our Cabin Accomodation
Missouri was great, especially this fantastic little cabin we
stayed in (and for so little money - wow!) We were able to
bring Pip along and he stayed snug and cool in the cabin
while we enjoyed a day at Silver Dollar City.
On The Balcony
Our cabin had a neat balcony overlooking a
stream.
We Didn't Do Much Cooking
But then again, do we ever? We did, however re-heat
pizza and use the fridge. It was a great convenience.
Pippin Got To Come Too
Pippin is obviously very happy he got to come
along on this trip.
Wide Screen TV?
It was hard to believe that anyone would want to watch TV
when you were in such a beautiful area, but we did find
ourselves enjoying it during the Mavericks play-off game
and we even took advantage of the fire, which we used
purely for ambiance because we had the air conditioner
blasting at the same time.
Enjoying The View
Pippin and Brent enjoy the view from the
cabin balcony.
