All Aboard!
At the Stockyards Train Station, we boarded the beautifully restored
Tarantula Steam Train. Built in the early 1800's, its engine
confidently chugged us on a one-hour tour through the heart of Fort
Worth. Often it was difficult to believe we were in the middle of a
raving metropolis as much of the track is nestled among lush and
untouched areas. When we passed over Trinity Park, we had a
bird's eye view of the Mayfest activities and were afforded great
views of both the Trinity River and Downtown.
