Right in a row...we love it!

After spending the morning on the bus to Corinth, we hopped
off early so that we could visit the famous Archaeological
Museum, and at least walk by the beautiful facades of the
Library and the University. Once again, we had a great day on
which to do it.
National Archaeological Museum
The Neo-Classical facade of this museum is no less
impressive than it older "cousins" next door.
The University
Well, neither CSUF nor Stanford could boast buildings of
this grandeur for higher learning.
The Museum
It's hard not to want to take artistic photos in
this amazing museum.
Kate Hangs Out By The Pool
On the other hand, Kate's idea of activity at the
ape-man's abode was to just pose...
Zeus or Poseidon?
This is one of several statues we saw in
Greece where the experts aren't sure.
The Volomandra Kouros
Any statue that looks like this - with both
hands down...and there are a lot of them, is
called a Kouros.
Horse With The Little Jockey
That's the title of this very famous bronze Hellenistic
statue.
Statue of Athena
This ivory and gold statue is the best known
replica of the original statue of Athena that
once stood in the center of the Parthenon on
the Acropolis. The original is said to have
been 40 feet tall - this one was about 3 ft.
Yet Another...
It depends which expert you talk to as to
whether this is Zeus or Poseidon -
regardless, it's impressive.
