VRRRROOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

On a very chilly Saturday and Sunday - the coldest for this time of
year in Texas history - we ventured out to our local high school
football stadium's parking lot to check out what Easy Rider was all
about.

We thought it would be fun, but we didn't have any idea just how
much! We don't think we're about to buy a Harley, a cruiser or even a
rice rocket, but we did have a blast learning how to ride a motorcycle
 - it was an AWESOME birthday present for Kate.

While Brent aced all the fine skills, Kate couldn't help but love that
lean.

Wow, we can now see why people are so into it.

A big thank you to our great instructor - Kelly Robertson of
www.WeRideSafe.com - for making it such a wonderful experience
over all.
Ready to role baby!
Stop!
Our instructor, Kelly Robertson, prepares us
for our ride showing us her signal for stop.
Gotta Know How To Get Out...
Kate waits her turn
Bring on the curves!
Brent are you sure I should do this?
A bit nervous, Kate waits to get going on the first day.
Taking to it like a duck to water
Brent had so much fun, in fact that he couldn't help but
research what bike he'd want to get (IF were going to get
them) on the Internet when we got home!
Getting the hang of it!
Kate, trying to master one of the most basic components of
riding - look where you are going and the bike will follow -
once she could do that, she could get the lean part down -
now THAT was fun!
Scraping a Peg
Kate was pretty proud to be the only person in the class,
save the instructor, to lean so low on a turn that she
scaped a peg...but as you can see here, she still needs to
keep that head up a bit!
The Tight Turns
Brent was the star of the show when he could do the
figure 8 in a really tight space first time out - after several
tries, Kate still couldn't quite master it. He makes it look so
easy!
We Did It!
We can't help but be all smiles - we passed - thanks to the
great tutelage of our instructor!
