Brent said Paris was beautiful in the Fall...
So off we went to Paris! Paris Texas that is...We not only saw the
largest Eiffel Tower in the world with a cowboy hat, but we even
saw Jesus in cowboy boots.
Well, we are in the Lone Star State after all and those "Cowboys"
are pretty pervasive - not to mention important!
We're still trying to find 2 pairs of matching lizard-skin boots and a
suitable stetson for Pip - but that quest continues.
Jesus In Cowboy Boots
Evergreen Cemetery is the home of the
Babcock family mausoleum and the statue
of, you guessed it, Jesus in cowboy boots!
Marty McFly Isn't Here
The Central Square in Paris is so charming and quaint
that one half expects Michael J. Fox and the Flux Capacitor.
Once A Monkey Always A Monkey
Brent did this BEFORE we noticed the sign
forbidding anyone from hanging, swinging or
climbing on the structure.
The Charm Just Continues
Another view from the town square...
The Fountain In Town Square
Just The Two Of Us
We never thought it would be difficult to find
the Eiffel Tower, but well, it wasn't exactly as
big as we had expected.
What A View
You really haven't lived until you've gazed up the Eiffel
Tower at a huge, red, cowboy hat. We love Texas!
Even The Train Depot Is Gorgeous
Sam Bell Maxey House
We visited this State Historic Structure restored by the
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. It is the historic
home of Confederate General Sam Bell Maxey.
