Even Minor League Baseball Is Great In Texas!

On a warm July evening we headed out to watch the local Minor
League baseball team, The Frisco Rough Riders, take on The
Round Rock Express.

The stadium is beautiful, brand new and from the road just
looks like a bunch of condominiums.  The best part is the
whole affair is geared toward families and kids in particular,
with a lively mascot, fix-it-yourself snow cone machine and lots
of opportunities to interact with the players.  They even have
fireworks, table shuffle board in the club house, as well as an
hilarious tradition of the audience blowing up elongated
balloons and letting them all off in unison.

The highlight of the evening was listening to our national
anthem being played on a conventional wood saw - think Black
and Decker - by the three-time, world champion, no doubt.
Now, THAT, was fantastic!
