Easter In California And Surgeries
We spent this week at Kate's parents' place in Southern
California. Sawyer had surgery on Wednesday for a cyst
over his eye as well as he had tubes put in his ears so we
combined it with Easter. It was a 9-day excursion in all!
We arrived on the night before Good Friday and then
proceeded to have a ball with both sides of the family.
Good Friday and that Saturday we visited with Sheffields
and Verrengias at the Irvine Spectrum. Then Sunday was
Easter and we joined Kate's brother's wife's family (the
Lozenskis) down in Laguna Niguel for a wonderful brunch
and an Easter Egg hunt where Sawyer made out with some
serious cash! (We like their Easter bunny!!)
In between we ventured to a favorite park up in Fullerton and
generally had a great time with family - playing in Pie's
kitchen and in the front courtyard with the tricycle and all the
various toys that adorn the Petrie household.
Sawyer is not only steady on his feet but doing very well with
stairs and has grown enough to be able to get to hand rails,
etc. He's also climbing A LOT these days and we have to
stay on our toes - not to mention be careful what we say as
he's learning new words daily!
