JFK Museum and 5-Star Dinner
In our never-ending quest to devour all that Dallas has to offer,
we ventured into the city on a Saturday afternoon to the Sixth
Floor Museum: a memorial dedicated to the assassination of
JFK. The museum is located on the floor of the old Dallas
Book Depository where Lee Harvey Oswald stood when he
shot the president. The exhibits, photographs, first-hand
accounts and videos transported us to another time, creating a
moving and worthwhile experience.
We then traveled up the Toll Road to North Dallas where we
feasted on fantastic bread rolls and butterfly-filleted steak at the
famous Three Forks Restaurant. Our nephew, Andrew, was
officially deputized by the owner of the establishment to prevent
patrons from swinging from the 300 lb. antler-chandeliers.
Apparently, over the holidays someone had actually done it!
