St. Louis, Missouri (The Show Me State)

Easter found us in St. Louis, poking our nose around and trying
to hit every single site over a 36 hour span. We may not have
done it all, but we sure did manage to pack in quite a bit.

We gazed at the arch from every angle - the court house, the
fountains in front of the court house, behind the court house,
the grassy knoll underneath the arch, the steps in front of it, the
water and of course inside.

We also managed to find the old Basilica, cruise the river, go to
the botanical gardens, stay in the historic Union Station hotel
and of course hit a Cardinals game at their new stadium! It
was fantastic all around!

Picture Postcard Trip...Yet Again
St. Louis did not disappoint and we found the framing of the
court house by the famous Arch to be spectacular.
Wow, Honey, It's Tall!
Quite A Sight, No?
The lighting on the arch at night gives it quite a mystical
quality.
From Every Angle It Is A Site To Behold
No view of this amazing architectural feat is disappointing -
it just becomes more and more awe inspiring the more
one looks at it.
Reflections In the Sky Scrapers
It's neat to see how the old is indeed
reflected in the new.
Waiting For The Photographer
Brent took the opportunity to shoot Kate as
she waited for him to finish snapping shots
of the famous arch.
The Big Flood
In the 1990's there was a massive flood that
brought the level of the river up to this point -
the thirty third step up to the arch.
